MEET THE OWNER

Meet Dj Blaq Label, our owner/operator. Dj Blaq Label is the resident and head disk jockey here at Blaq Tie Entertainment. He began his musical career as an avid percussionist and drummer. Throughout his grade school years he remained active in his school's bands and performing arts department. Upon his completion of high school his musical talents landed him a full music scholarship to Claflin University. In 2009 he transferred and continued his studies at Berklee College of Music. While studying there he began to explore the fields of live sound engineering, disk jockeys, and lighting. In 2010 this lead to him starting a small freelance business in providing disk jockey, sound rental, and engineering services to local bands, churches, and entertainment venues.  He completed his education at Berklee in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Professional Music with an education minor. Since launching his entertainment career in 2010 he boast over a decade of professional experience in the entertainment industry.  His resume reflects a myriad of events from weddings, to schools and church events, artist tours, radio, night clubs, skating rinks, and even the Boston Marathon. Dj Blaq Label is a highly skilled, seasoned, and a well versed emcee and disk jockey. Possessing an extensive musical knowledge, a variety of equipment, and a musical catalog to cater to all taste.
